Demand for Anthropic's Claude has surged sharply among Singapore startups. Over the year, the number of the service's paying customers grew by 258%, and spending on it rose 17-fold, according to a report by the fintech platform Aspire.
A year earlier, OpenAI had more than four times as many paying startup customers in Singapore as Anthropic. Now the gap has narrowed to 1.5 times, and Claude's share of spending on AI platforms has reached 37%.
Overall, the number of startups in Singapore using AI tools grew by 42%. The number of companies working with three or more platforms at once more than doubled.
