On the contrary, with any rise in the exchange rate of the most popular virtual coin, there is more talk about buying Bitcoin. Today more than a hundred Bitcoin exchangers are operating, where you can exchange fiat money for virtual coins. You can also buy Bitcoin on cryptocurrency exchanges or on payment services such as, for example, WebMoney or Advcash. And now Americans who are interested in Bitcoin will soon be able to buy it in grocery stores for cash.
Coinme, a company that manufactures Bitcoin ATMs, has entered into a partnership with the exchange service Coinstar in order to provide users with the ability to buy bitcoins through Coinstar terminals in a number of U.S. states. For now this service will be available only to customers of Safeway (Albertsons) stores in the states of California, Texas and Washington; although Coinme has "plans to expand to additional U.S. markets," the company's press release says.
Coinme CEO Neil Bergquist notes that the new partnership aims to provide users with "a convenient and simple way to buy Bitcoin in everyday life." According to him, this will also allow "drawing them into this dynamically developing economy." Coinstar CEO Jim Gaherity also pointed to the convenience of buying Bitcoin for users, stating: "Our company always tries to offer value to its consumers, and the innovative approach of the two companies will allow consumers to easily buy Bitcoins for cash."
Coinstar terminals accept only paper dollar banknotes with a limit of $2,500. To buy Bitcoin, users must enter their phone number into the terminal and insert paper banknotes. They then receive a code that allows them to log into a Coinme online account, where the Bitcoins they have bought will be available.
